Rule #4:
Instead of counting sheep to fall asleep, think of all the different reasons you love your spouse.
– I love the way you smooth your cheek against mine right after you’ve shaved.
– I love that you hate killing bugs, but you do it for me anyway.
– I love your long eyelashes.
– I love the little threads of grey in your hair.
– I love the way you tap my knee to the opening music of our favorite TV shows.
– I love that you have to open things – CDs, new appliances, bottles of marinade – as soon as we get them home.
– I love the way you look with a few days’ stubble.
– I love how handsome, mature, and professional you look in your white coat.
– I love the way our bodies fit together when we sleep.
– I love that you are so respectful of your family.
– I love that you eat turkey sandwiches for lunch almost every single day.
– I love how easily you pick up languages.
You’ll fall asleep smiling.
So0o true. Going to bed angry or upset is awful. What a way to prevent that…Great post!
aaaaaadorable!
I’m a little jealous of the “way our bodies fit together when we sleep.” SOMEONE WHO IS NOT ME in our marriage does not like to touch while sleeping. He tosses and turns too much. Boo!
sooooo incredibly sweet! I left you an award on my blog – if you have it already but by chance there is another you don’t have feel free to take a different one instead!
Aw, I love this.
You know I am the worlds biggest sucker for love… so this is a perfect idea to get to sleep with a smile on your face 🙂
Oh sweet post, the preppy boyfriend is traveling this week and now I miss him even more (I say this week, really just Sunday night through today, he’ll be back this afternoon).
I love the gray in my husband’s hair, too. 🙂
Ahhhh I like it!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Ok….SO darn cute! I love the lame baseball tattoo on his bicep that I laughed at first until I found out it was his number from college on through the Rangers. It’s awfully adorable how attached he is to it. LOVED this post!
I had trouble falling asleep last night; I couldn’t stop thinking about my fears and my failures and I knew it could be a negative spiral. Then I remembered your post and started listing all of the things I love about my husband. And then I fell asleep.
Thank you!
This is 100% true!!! And I love the after shave smooth skin!!!
